“I hate to ask you to give up your husband some more, but even apart from ‘an Orthodox book,’ it is sincerely one of my favorite books. I gave my copy away to a friend and will be buying another one to keep … until I find someone else who absolutely needs to have it. There are very few books I love enough to put in that category.

“The best part was the romantic resolution and how the characters stayed true to themselves. Or maybe the best part was the authentic feel of the characters in their historical mindsets. Or maybe the best part was the accurate descriptions balanced with the excellent plot. There are so many best parts, is there any way we could persuade him to write another? I will literally ship baked goods to your house if that would help.”
